Colomba is a traditional Italian Easter cake made with natural wheat sourdough, where the dough must mature for 2 days in a multi-phase process of natural leavening before being baked. Our product comes from the renowned artisan bakery 'Pasticeria Fraccaro' near Venice, and the tradition of baking cakes dates back to 1932. Also, since that time, a recreated sourdough starter called 'Lievito Madre' has been used daily for dough fermentation, counting an impressive 90 years! This is the bakery's biggest secret, which, along with the skill of the pastry chefs, translates into multi-generational success and reputation.

Offered by us, "Colomba con Pesche Candite e Mandorle," weighing 750g, is baked in a traditional dove-shaped paper mold, allowing it to rise high and achieve remarkable fluffiness. Additionally, the cake is hung upside down immediately after baking, ensuring that the characteristic cap does not collapse under its weight and with a generous amount of candied fruits inside. It is filled with candied peaches and covered with almond topping. The cake is moist and fluffy, with an otherworldly aroma. The whole package is presented in an exclusive laminated cardboard bag, making it an elegant gift.
