Italian Easter Cake 'Colomba with Lemon Cream' from Pasticceria Fraccaro 750g

Colomba is a traditional Italian Easter cake with natural wheat sourdough, where the dough must mature for 2 days in a multi-phase process of natural leavening before being baked. Our product comes from the renowned artisan bakery 'Pasticeria Fraccaro' near Venice, and the tradition of baking cakes dates back to 1932. Since then, a freshly replicated sourdough starter called 'Lievito Madre' has been used daily to leaven the dough, which, as easy to calculate, is already 90 years old! This is the bakery's biggest secret, which, along with the skill of the pastry chefs, translates into multi-generational success and reputation.

The "Colomba con Crema al Limone" offered by us, weighing 750g, is baked in a traditional dove-shaped papillote, allowing it to rise high and have exceptional fluffiness. Additionally, the dough is hung upside down immediately after baking to cool, ensuring that its characteristic dome does not collapse under its own weight. It is filled with delicious lemon cream and coated with dark and white chocolate. It is moist, fluffy, and heavenly fragrant. The whole package is presented in an exclusive laminated cardboard bag, making it an elegant gift.
